A wide range of mental health problems, including anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse and higher prevalence of server mental illness and thoughts of suicide have been observer among immigrants populations in united states we as new hope for immigrants we give educational materials to help to get ride of bad stigma they have about mental health in the our community.
WOMEN HEALTH AND WELL BEING
practicing preventive health care and maintaining good health behaviors are essential components of a women's health and overall well-being.new hope for immigrants is working to help the new immigrants to maintain a healthy lifestyle, women have a unique set of health care challenges and are at a higher risk of developing certain conditions and diseases. the leading causes of death for women include heart diseases cancer, and diabetes all of which could potentially be treated or prevented if identified early enough.
YOUTH PROGRAM
NHFI engages New Americans Youth aged 5-25 to participate in activities that help them discover their educational interests learn about potential careers. and gain valuable work experiences. we also offer new Americans youth and children support during afterschool hours. these services include tutoring, mentoring, and a safe space where children and youth can socialize with their peers. we also have 4H program, sports activities, and mentoring.
